Natural hair is naturally easy

I have to admit that I have found that my natural hair is very freeing. So freeing that I really don't know what to do with myself. It is very low maintenance, easy to manage, and has cost me less money. Since going natural, I can sleep on a pillow and not worry about getting a crook in my neck, I wash it and go in the morning (I slap some gel on it sometimes), and I  most of my natural hair care stuff is either cheap or made at home from stuff in the fridge. I am loving it.

Now, I am not saying that relaxers, wigs, and all that stuff isn't great. Remember, I too wore them for years. But I have to be honest, I do enjoy waking into the rain and not worrying about my hair getting wet as well as watching my relaxed friends running to their cars and asking me, "Why aren't you running?". I can run and work out and not have to rush home to wash, condition, wrap, sit under the hair dryer, flat iron and style my hair. Also, I love that I can allow a man to "touch" my hair". Run his fingers through it. And not say..."Don't mess up my hair".

It is the BEST THING EVER. I feel prettier (until I feel like...ugh I look like a boy day). I like watching my natural hair grow, running my fingers through it, twisting it, checking my length, peaking at it in the mirror, and more. I like reading what people have done that helped them adjust to their natural hair growth. It is wonderful going into a grocery store and buying avocados to eat and...to put in my hair. Since letting go, I have been told that I am beautiful, that I glow, that "it fits me". I can jump out of the bed and be somewhere on time. I love it, love it, love it.

My hair care regime today is....

Olive oil
Nexium Scalp Treatment (For dry scalp)
Sulfer scalp treatment
Paul Mitchell Mint Shampoo
