Gene is an inspirational brother with a strong message. I actually chatted with him a couple of days ago and what motivated him to start such a beautiful and inspirational company. The name of his his company is "My Black Skin Is". He stated that the reason why he began such and endeavor was due to the lack of positive images for African American [Black] people. One of the best things that Gene said was. " Not every Black Person want to be a basketball player or a rapper. There are more to us than those two things".
My Black Skin is has a variety of gear. From college, to natural, to even cancer awareness, there is an inspirational voice in everything that he has made. You can see the love and time he has put into his wear. He even managed to find shirts that fit well to the African American form. He called it "figure hugging". His love of Black Women and our people is profound.
