Winter Hair Care Tip: How to fight the dryness

So a couple of days ago I wrote about my dryness problem. My hair felt crunchy and that can lead to breakage. At first I thought it was gel or even the dye job, but it was actually how I was applying the gel. I did some research and learned a little trick. I decided to try it out to see if it worked before I shared it with you all.

Before using any type of gel to hold your hair and to define your curl pattern, its best to apply a leave in conditioner to damp hair. Usually, I use the hydrating conditioner, but it was too light. Instead, I used the Motion's CPR Leave In Conditioner. It is thicker and it protects my hair. Secondly, I used "Smooth'n Shine" Extra hold conditioning gel. I liked this because its a smooth runny gel and not the sticky gooey stuff . You don't need a lot, it conditions the hair, enhances the curl pattern, and maintains your softness. Last, I applied the Lusti's Organics Gel. I did not need as much. Just a penny amount. This locked in my curl pattern, maintained my softness, and shine.

My hair has remained hydrated, thicker, and there isn't any breakage. This has been beneficial since dealing with the winter blah's. Today I went out in the cold wet rain without any head gear to test it out and it worked great. Came home and my hair was still soft and my curl patterns was still defined.
