Ugh, ugh, and more Ugh....Healthy Eating

So, I'm ughing (my term for nasty) off of a strict veggie, fruit, and seafood diet. The smell of BBQ ribs, hamburgers, and all sort of other fried tidbits have tried to tempt me, but I have said no. I noticed several new things since switching my diet. The Pros are....

1. I sleep an entire eight hours and feel rested.
2. I don't feel weighed down
3. My energy has increased
4. I have noticed some weight loss in my thigh and mid section.

The Cons:
1. Nasty protein drink/ veggie fruit drinks
2. A week long headache
3. Some fatigue at times

I  am still taking my vitamins Biotin, E, and a multi-vitamin. I always try to push water with these to get up to eight glasses a day. My skin is clearer, I have a glow, and I noticed that it is also softer than its usual softness. I would say...pliant really. Today, it was really hot, and I noticed that I didn't dehydrate as I normally would before the detox and meal regimen change up.

My hair is loving it. I noticed that it is curling up and looking much healthier. I can't wait to see what I will look like after a month of this. Just cutting meats totally and seafood sometimes has been beneficial. I am not really missing the heavy food and fast foods because I know giving that up will only lead to a better me. I actually prefer only veggies.

I also cut sweets (cookies, ice cream, and etc...) from my diet. I still have cravings, but my body didn't take too well when I scarfed downs some caramel popcorn and nuts. I became pretty ill. So now, I just prefer fruits and fruit smoothies.

Several things that I learned about making my own energy drinks are:

  1. Use half a banana if you don't like the banana smell. I will over ride every other smell or taste in your drink.
  2. Honey is an awesome natural sweetener
  3. There are free smoothie recipes online. There are many really good ones that you can try.
  4. Adding yogurt is also pretty good. I use plain yogurt and then add ice and my fruit.
  5. Find something that you like and stick with it.

Well, have to go. Blessings and Peace of Christ.
